 Tested against v3.1, Mandrake Cooker RPMS (gcc3.1-3.1-0.2mdk).  Bug does not 
 reappear using original test case above.
 
 However, bug DOES reappear against new test case, although apparently not 
 with unpatched gcc3.1 (according to rth at gcc.gnu.org).
 
 Would it be better to take this up with Mandrake?
