Dunno... I just say 'make bootstrap' and it happens. This is a AMD K6-2/300 with 64 megs of RAM running Linux From Scratch 3.3 (www.linuxfromscratch.org). I'm trying to build the 20020708 CVS version (if you get that version you'll see exactly what commands are used for building it). There's not much space left on the building partition, but it's far above 70 megabytes, so it shouldn't bail out because of that.
