Purify only works on releases < g++ 3.0. As of this writing, Rational is beta-testing purify support for g++ 3.0 and g++ 3.1, but has no plans (yet) for supporting g++ 3.2. Rationale has not been able to keep up with the changes to the ABI and debug information.
