>Environment:
Solaris 2.5.1 with libiconv and libintl available
>Description:

I tried to configure and build gcc with this command

../gcc-3.2.1/configure --prefix=/proj/wdt/gnu_sun5.1/gcc-3.2.1
--with-local-prefix=/proj/wdt/gnu_sun5.1/gcc-3.2.1
--with-gnu-ld
--with-ld=/proj/wdt/gnu_sun5.1/binutils/bin/ld
--with-gnu-nm
--with-nm=/proj/wdt/gnu_sun5.1/binutils/bin/nm
--with-gnu-as
--with-as=/proj/wdt/gnu_sun5.1/binutils/bin/as
--enable-threads=posix
--enable-shared
--with-libiconv-prefix=/proj/wdt/gnu_sun5.1/libiconv-1.8

then ran gmake bootstrap

When it gets to the point of running xgcc for the first time it can
not find libintl or libiconv as shown below. I thought the above iconv
switch would make it find that. Not sure what is going on with
libintl.

./xgcc -B./
-B/proj/wdt/gnu_sun5.1/gcc-3.2.1/sparc-sun-solaris2.5.1/bin/ -isystem
/proj/wdt/gnu_sun5.1/gcc-3.2.1/sparc-sun-solaris2.5.1/include -isystem
/proj/wdt/gnu_sun5.1/gcc-3.2.1/sparc-sun-solaris2.5.1/sys-include
-dumpspecs > tmp-specs

ld.so.1: ./xgcc: fatal: libintl.so.2: open failed: No such file or directory

ldd gcc/xgcc
        libintl.so.2 =>  (file not found)
        libiconv.so.2 =>         (file not found)
        libc.so.1 =>     /usr/lib/libc.so.1
        libdl.so.1 =>    /usr/lib/libdl.so.1
        /usr/platform/SUNW,Ultra-1/lib/libc_psr.so.1

The same configure with sun5.1 changed to sun5.8 works fine on
solaris8
