 This problem also occurs when cross-compiling a gcc 3.2.2 with  
 --target=i386 and --target=i486 on Mac OS X. In other words, it is not  
 a problem specific to the sco platform.
 
 Platform: powerpc-apple-darwin6.2
 OS: Mac OS X 10.2.4
 Compiler: gcc (GCC) 3.1 20020420 (prerelease)
