Synopsis: Compilation generates error in batch

State-Changed-From-To: open->closed
State-Changed-By: bangerth
State-Changed-When: Mon Mar  3 14:46:12 2003
State-Changed-Why:
    This is typically either an installation problem, or
    that your script is implicitly using a different shell
    than when you run gcc on the command line. Try figuring
    out what shell you are using from inside the script,
    and how environment variables differ. You may also want
    to check something newer than 2.95 (we are at 3.2.2
    presently).

    Sorry for not being of more help
      Wolfgang

When I try to compile the attached file in batch mode, it generates the following error:
gcc: Internal compiler error in `execute', at ../../gcc/gcc.c:2328
Please submit a full bug report.

When I try to compile it directly on the shell, it works.
I tried to figure out relevant differences in the environment, but I could not find any.
The file is build by configure to figure out, if gcc works.
