The below testcase:

};

compiled with either version of 3.3 and HEAD gives the error:
  bla.cc:8:error: `k' undeclared (first use this function)

Per 11.4 #5 the inline defined friend f() of X has access to the members of X.
So this is conforming code, but not accepted.
GCC 3.2 did compile this.
