I don't have binutils installed on this system. The only ld and ar I
can find (find / -name ld -print) is /bin/ld and /usr/ccs/ld (and
similarly for ar.) So I don't understand how what I can be doing wrong.
Please reconsider closing this bug or give me a better lead. Thanks.
