    I can't reproduce on SunOS gax 5.8 Generic_108528-16 sun4u sparc SUNW,Ultra-2:
    
    gax% /opt/TWWfsw/gcc321/bin/g++ -shared -fPIC -o libmy.so libmy.c
    gax% /opt/TWWfsw/gcc321/bin/g++ -L. -o main main.c -lmy
    gax% ldd main
            libmy.so =>      (file not found)
            libstdc++.so.5 =>        /opt/TWWfsw/gcc321r/lib/libstdc++.so.5
            libm.so.1 =>     /usr/lib/libm.so.1
            libgcc_s.so.1 =>         /opt/TWWfsw/gcc321r/lib/libgcc_s.so.1
            libc.so.1 =>     /usr/lib/libc.so.1
            libdl.so.1 =>    /usr/lib/libdl.so.1
            /usr/platform/SUNW,Ultra-2/lib/libc_psr.so.1
    gax% export LD_LIBRARY_PATH=.
    gax% ./main
    FOO!
    BAR!
