    gcc2.9 is not an FSF released version of gcc. However, it
    is not clear which compiler (the bootstrapping compiler, 2.9,
    or the one being bootstrapped, i.e. 3.2.2) is generating
    the internal compiler error -- can you post half a page of
    the lines output by make bootstrap before (and including)
    the compiler error?
