Could the submitter please confirm whether or not this is this case? Note that as mentioned in http://gcc.gnu.org/ml/gcc/2002-06/msg00871.html the only parts of gcc required to build with k&r compiler are the c compiler, and libiberty (and I believe this requirement will be dropped for post-3.3). In particular fastjar is written in ISO C90. Dara
