 well I've seen a couple of reports like this, but there's always  
 something different going on. Would it be possible for you try a clean  
 checkout of the 3.3 branch, just to make sure it wasn't merely  
 lingering files? Cheers,

 P.S. I just tried a build on RH8 with the same versions of flex and  
 bison as you and it worked, so I'm rather puzzled...
