Is it possible to have an out of memory error message? That's pretty hard, since if the operating system overcommits memory (which most do these days), then an application will not get an out-of-memory status from malloc, but just a page fault or something when it actually uses this memory. It's hard to detect what exactly caused this, then. Thanks for the feedback W. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Wolfgang Bangerth email: bangerth@ices.utexas.edu www: http://www.ices.utexas.edu/~bangerth/
