As the ultimate person responsible for releases, I'm going to halt
this discussion now.
The latest STL code will not be in egcs-1.1. We should import it
into the sources after egcs-1.1 branches so that it can be tested
and included in egcs-1.2.
We've got enough issues to deal with for egcs-1.1, we do not need
to complicate it with a new STL release.
