Sources: - egcs -regcs_1_1_branch from CVS last updated at
1998/07/19 11:47:42 +0200
- libg++-2.8.1.1a +
patch to eliminate gperf +
patch for new flag --enable-version-specific-runtime-libs.
Patches: None.
Environment: - GNU binutils 2.9.1
- dejagnu-971222 + look_for_dir_with_trigger patch
- gperf-2.7
- RedHat Linux 5.1 + recommended updates as of today
- Kernel 2.0.35
- glibc-2.0.7-19
- glibc-devel-2.0.7-19
Remarks: By adding H.J.'s `A new patch for the x86 -fpic and
-fomit-frame-pointer bug' I've been able to avoid the failure
in libstdc++ without any other change of results. Jeff,
how do you thing about adding his patch:
Mon Jul 13 08:36:01 1998 H.J. Lu (hjl@gnu.org)
* config/i386/i386.h (CONST_DOUBLE_OK_FOR_LETTER_P): Return 0
for PIC if reload is not completed yet.
I guess, with the register pressure on Intel CPUs we
really should get -fomit-frame-pointer working.
configure flags: --with-gcc-version-trigger=/home/manfred/work/GNU/egcs-1.1/gcc/version.c --host=i586-linux --srcdir=../egcs-1.1 --prefix=/tools/gnu --with-gnu-as --with-gnu-ld --enable-shared --enable-version-specific-runtime-libs --with-local-prefix=/tools/gnu --enable-nls --verbose --norecursion
BOOT_CFLAGS: -O9 -funroll-all-loops -g -march=pentium -mcpu=pentium -fomit-frame-pointer
BOOT_CC: gcc version egcs-2.90.29 980515 (egcs-1.0.3 release)
