Agreed. -- Looking at the output from texi2html -menu -split_chapter seems to be our best bet for including the entire manual online in html form. Menus work, the file sizes are reasonable (without the -split_chapter we got a >1M html file for the docs... Which would take forever to download). The next problem is figuring out how to get a pointer into the news and bugs section. The labels inserted by texi2html are based on section number, not the name of the section. I suspect with a little perl work we can add an appropriate label that can be referenced from outside the document to get to the bugs & news sections. jeff From mboxrd@z Thu Jan 1 00:00:00 1970 From: Jeffrey A Law To: Joe Buck Cc: craig@jcb-sc.com, egcs@egcs.cygnus.com Subject: Re: 1.1.2 bug, news lists Date: Wed, 31 Mar 1999 23:46:00 -0000 Message-ID: <16727.920673121@hurl.cygnus.com> References: <199903052214.OAA14694@atrus.synopsys.com> X-SW-Source: 1999-03n/msg00252.html Message-ID: <19990331234600.rWOIkoRfx9bMzNf2Qqf1Lmuou_S7vot4FLlY-tSCTA8@z> In message < 199903052214.OAA14694@atrus.synopsys.com >you write: > Why not just include a text file saying how to get to the live information > on the web?
