Without a GCC-based LSP server, it means you have to build your modules for _both_ GCC (for compilation) _and_ Clang (for LSP) which would be extremely frustrating. It would also likely make Eli's initial contention that you need to install a full Clang compiler to use a Clang-based LSP server, into a reality.
