I successfully built and installed GCC on
SCO
OpenLinux-MR311-server-20011219-1600
Linux version 2.4.13 (root@build311.asia.caldera.com) (gcc version 2.95.2

# config.guess
i686-pc-linux-gnu
# gcc -v

Configured with: ../gcc-3.2.2/./configure --prefix=/usr

gcc version 3.2.2
# used --prefix=/usr with configure
