I agree... I kinda prefer the convention that there is only one
toplevel directory, so that would mean egcs*/gcc/cp,
egcs*/libg++... and so on.

If this is what is referred to as the "one-tree" build in the crossgcc
world, then I am personally all for it. This is a big step in the right
direction to address gcc support library and include file build
order problems.
