hi -

Here are results from running the c++ testsuite on the 970825
snapshot on a mips-sgi-irix5.3 target.

                === g++ Summary ===

# of expected passes            3264
# of unexpected successes       2
# of expected failures          85
# of untested testcases         6

These are the two unexpected successes:

XPASS: g++.brendan/scope4.C (test for excess errors)
XPASS: g++.mike/p7325.C *-*-* Execution test

1. libg++ 2.8.0b6 is not compatible with egcs.
2. glibc 2.0.5 is released.
3. You need apply a bunch of my patches, except for those prototype
   ones, to compile egcs with glibc 2.

has anyone gotten this to compile on a linux box running 2.[01].x kernel
WITH glibc 2.0.4 ?

i'm sitting hacking away at the include files... but to no avail... i'm
not going to touch the system header files... but to fix this:

/usr/include/stdio.h:110: type specifier omitted for parameter
/usr/include/stdio.h:110: parse error before `)'
make: *** [iostream.o] Error 1
[bhughes@precursor]:~/src/libg++-2.8.0/libio%

i'm a clueless....

stdio.h line 109-110:

extern FILE* fopencookie __P ((void *cookie, __const char *mode,
                               _IO_cookie_io_functions_t io_functions));

any help/insight/thoughts greatly appreciated
