ISTR talk about an Openstep port at some stage (there's certainly been
an enquiry or two about g77 on it). Is this of interest in that
regard? [Sorry if Toon's already acted on it -- mail here somewhat
disrupted.]

Hello,

There is a ready to use package for OPENSTEP 4.2 which contains the
g77 FORTRAN compiler. It can be found at
ftp://ftp.cs.tu-berlin.de/pub/NeXT/developer/languages/gcc.2.7.2.3.2.I
.b.tar.gz

It tried our fit program for molecular potential functions and it
seems to run slightly faster than the same code compiled with the
absoft compiler (optimization turned on for both compilers).

Hope this helps,

Dirk
