Hi,

Has anyone tried to compile linux/x86 2.1.85 with egcs 980205?
My new kernel came up ok. But some of my binaries called during
init dumped core, including mount and others which are yet to
be determined.

Thanks.

Hi,

I compiled the kernel with CFLAGS=-O6 -march=pentium -mcpu=pentium
-fomit-frame-pointer -malign-loops=0 -malign-jumps=0 -malign-functions=0.
No problems so far.

uptime:
2:53am up 2 days, 8:07, 3 users, load average: 1.38, 1.45, 1.63

Regards,
Rob
