Subject: Built and installed sparc-sun-solaris2.5

Message-ID: <199803210236.VAA26676@vinnie.dolphinics.com> (raw)

Everything went smoothly, except for a minor autoconf/m4 snag. I
didn't have a GNU m4 installed on my system as "m4". Make produced
the following error:

cd ./f/runtime && make srcdir=. -f Makefile.in rebuilt
rm -f libU77/config.cache && cd ./libU77 && autoconf && rm -f config.cache
Autoconf requires GNU m4 1.1 or later
*** Error code 1
make: Fatal error: Command failed for target `libU77/configure'
Current working directory /nfs/vinnie/u6/home/tv/bld/jdelsign/src/tools/egcs-1.0.2/gcc/f/runtime
*** Error code 1
make: Fatal error: Command failed for target `f/runtime/libU77/configure'
Current working directory /nfs/vinnie/u6/home/tv/bld/jdelsign/src/tools/egcs-1.0.2/gcc

I dropped a symlink to the GNU m4 and added it to my PATH, and that
made autoconf happy.

Cheers, John D.
