I am interested in talking with anyone who has successfully built the
egcs-1.0.3a compiler, and compiled c++ code with it, on a DEC Alpha
running osf 4.0b. Please contact me via e-mail at D-Suson@tamuk.edu if
you can help me get our compiler up and running. I have requested help
from egcs-bugs, but haven't received an answer yet, and time is a
critical factor.  Thanks.

Hmm, isn't that one of the few OS where sizeof(int) != sizeof(long) == 8 ?
It might be interesting to know why he can't get it to work, it
might be a bug in egcs.

I wouldn't say few... Linux/Alpha has exactly the same ABI.
Irix 6's n64 ABI has the same feature.

Last I checked, egcs 1.0.3 bootstrapped just fine on our du4.0a
box. But as it is an aged old 150Mhz box, I don't do anything
with it regularly.
