Hi, list. I'm taking my first formal c++ class, and I really don't
want to give BG any more money by buying vc++ 5. Does egcs support
'using namespace blah;'? I would really appreciate knowing this.

Yes, it does, since 1.1 (egcs 1.0 doesn't). As a matter of fact, vc++
has a number of errors in that area, so egcs should work better (in
this area, AFAIK, IANAL, bla bla bla).
