The egcs-1.1.1.tar.[bz2|gz] ball produces (in my case) an
"unexpected end of file" error when I try to [b|g]unzip it
(The bz2-version was downloaded from the Cambridge,
Massachussets site, the gz-version from the Nijmegen, Holland
site).
Has anyone encountered similar problems?

Not that I'm aware of.
I just tested the .bz2 file on the cambridge mirror and it unpacked without
any problems.
