whenever, I tried to download full version of gcc,
I get an error message, saying that I have to log-in.

That's hard to tell: *How* are you trying to download the full version
of gcc? I.e. what internet location are you using? If it is via ftp,
you may try user:ftp, password:tomkang@flashcom.net.
