Then can you put these fixes in it, so the GCC doesn't have to use a
custom version of every other GNU tool?
Reason is, that we need our own version of gettext anyway, at least
for the time being. This is, because we need a gettext with Paul
Eggerts patches and now also with your patch for scanning #defines.
And while I'm at it, I did those fixes too.
