Once you get a compare failure, try `make bootstrap2' again, so that stage3 is used as stage2, a new stage3 is built and compared with it. I tried that but it failed. The problem is may be that I had no GNU tools installed. I installed successfully bison-1.28 and texinfo-4.0 but gperf-2.7 failed because c++ is unavailable (this is what I try to build !) May be more important is that trying to install binutils-2.10, I was warned that mips-sgi-irix5.2 is not supported by ld and gprof. Is there a way to make these things working ?
