I am using exactly the same source tree as on FreeBSD (where a bootstrap
succeeds) and get the following on sparc-sun-solaris2.6 and 2.8:

  gmake[1]: Leaving directory `/files/pfeifer/OBJ-1113-16:34/zlib'
  Bootstrapping the compiler
  gmake[1]: Entering directory `/files/pfeifer/OBJ-1113-16:34/gcc'
gmake[1]: *** No rule to make target `bootstrap'. Stop.

Now, the interesting part:

  % ls $objdir/gcc
  confdefs.h config.log tconfig.h tm_p.h
  config.h hconfig.h tm.h

...and nothing more! Am I going nuts?!?

Before the weekend everything worked fine.

Gerald

Yes.

:-)

My guess is configure died. What's config.log show? Modulo the wrong
include path being built in to cpplib, and the fact that --disable-static
isn't possible, I had no problems on solaris.
