I thought that OS X came with the gcc development suite, that's what Apple told us at the special presentation to a few CS professors as it was being rolled out with the Titanium laptops (too bad they did not give away some :-) Hope this is not too off topic, but I had always thought that it was really interesting that OS X was delivered with the GCC development stuff.
