Hello,
As requested in the document entitled
"Installing GCC: Final installation"
which comes with the gcc 3.3 distribution,
I am reporting that I have successfully
built and installed on the following system:

$ ./config.guess
i686-pc-linux-gnu

$ gcc -v
Reading specs from /usr/local/lib/gcc-lib/i686-pc-linux-gnu/3.3/specs
Configured with: ../gcc-3.3/configure --enable-threads
Thread model: posix
gcc version 3.3

$ cat /etc/issue
Welcome to SuSE Linux 7.0 (i386) - Kernel \r (\l).

uname -a
Linux fearless 2.2.16-SMP #1 SMP Wed Aug 2 20:01:21 GMT 2000 i686
unknown

glibc version:
I assume that it is 2.1, although I am not 100% certain.
(This is why I compiled gcc 3.3 in the first place, to upgrade it.)

Best regards,

Thomas Hedden
