This started in the last few days:
rm -rf gcc-mudflap
mkdir gcc-mudflap
cd gcc-mudflap
../gcc/configure \
--prefix=/usr/local/gcc-mudflap \
--enable-languages=c
make bootstrap
...

I should also mention that I see this during a checkout:
cvs server: duplicate key found for `y'
whatever that means.

I am looking into that...
Looks like 2.95 is more picky about bools than 3.2. is.
