This started in the last few days:

rm -rf gcc-mudflap
mkdir gcc-mudflap
cd gcc-mudflap
../gcc/configure \
        --prefix=/usr/local/gcc-mudflap \
        --enable-languages=c
make bootstrap

...
gcc -c   -g  -DIN_GCC   -W -Wall -Wwrite-strings -Wstrict-prototypes

I should also mention that I see this during a checkout:
	cvs server: duplicate key found for `y'
whatever that means.

I should have said this is on i386 (Linux Debian 3.0r2 - gcc 2.95.4),
if it matters.

I am looking into that...
Looks like 2.95 is more picky about bools than 3.2. is.
