Hello!

Just a quick note to say that I successfully built and
installed egcs 1.0.2 on my Linux box running Caldera
Open-Linux Base 1.0 with a 2.0.29 kernel. Here is the
output from config.guess;

i586-pc-linux-gnulibc1

Previously I had gcc 2.7.2.1 installed with c++ 2.7.2.1
and g77 0.5.18-1. The build went smoothly with no problems,
I now have c, c++ and g77 compilation working fine.

The installation has also allowed me to get rid of an annoying
'bug' I had with gcc, namely, when using the c++ stream output
library routines, I found that I had to declare all my
floating point numbers as long double types in order to
prevent garbage being outputted. I never got to the bottom
of this but now it has gone away - thanks!!

Keep up the good work!
