These are the testsuite results for egcs-2.91.12 980302 on the
i386-pc-linux-gnulibc1 system.

gcc:
gcc.log:FAIL: gcc.dg/980226-1.c (test for excess errors)
Excess errors:
xgcc: Internal compiler error: program cc1 got fatal signal 11
g++:
g++.log:XPASS: g++.mike/ns3.C (test for errors, line 1)
g77:
According to the g77 documentation this behaviour of dnrm2 is expected
on the x86 architecture.
g77.log:FAIL: g77.f-torture/execute/dnrm2.f execution,
-O2 -fomit-frame-pointer -finline-functions -funroll-loops
g77.log:FAIL: g77.f-torture/execute/dnrm2.f execution,

This one starts to surprise me a bit - I thought Bernd Schmidt's
"that annoying drnmf2.f failure on i386" patch fixed this problem -
although Dave Love's reply to fix the test case's uninitialised
variable problem is also necessary (both messages were dated the
18th of February).
If not, what am I missing ?

We haven't installed the patch. 1.0.2 stuff and dealing with the
major breakage due to last week's power outage has taken a rather
huge hunk of my time that would normally be reserved for looking
at nontrivial patches.
