I've got gcc 2.95.2 for hp 10.20 from hpux.cae.wisc.edu.
When I try to compile some code the compiler says:
"as: Invalid directive : NSUBPAS" (or something like that).
I've seen in the assembly file it generates and it really has the
NSUBPAS directive. The assembler works fine and I can generate
executable code if I put SUBPAS instead of NSUBPAS.
Any ideas of why it may happen and how to solve without editing assembly
code?

It may be configured for gas. Try installing binutils and reading
the FAQ at http://gcc.gnu.org . You might also try contacting whoever
packaged the binary. We normally only deal with the GCC source code.
