Message-ID: <9710311751.AA12521@negril.msrce.howard.edu> (raw)
I've only tried a couple of snapshots, but egcs no longer builds on my Ultrix
machine. The last time I tried a build, it died before the first stage was
completed. This time, the build died during the second stage. The errors
are similar to the last time I tried (se below). I was told it was probably
due to the dwarf exceptions. Is there a way to turn them off so I can get a
complete build?

./xgcc -B./ -O2 -DIN_GCC -O2 -g -O2 -I./include -g1 -DIN_LIBGCC2
-D__GCC_
FLOAT_NOT_NEEDED -I. -I. -I./config -c ./cp/tinfo.cc
as0: Error: ./cp/tinfo.cc, line 1: undefined symbol in expression
.word $LECIE1-$LSCIE1
...for 100 lines or so...
...and then an "Error code 1"...
