Need help(i m getting this error /usr/include/ldfcn.h:47: #error-qlonglong must be used

Hi ,

Please help me.

I am trying to install egcs-1.1.2 for powerpc-ibm-aix4.3.2.0
and getting the following error message

In file included from collect2.c:105:
/usr/include/ldfcn.h:47: #error -qlonglong must be used
make: 1254-004 The error code from the last command is 1.
 
My os version is AIX4.3.2.It is an IBM RS/6000 machine.

Can you please guide me what should I have to do???

	Are you sure that you are installing egcs-1.1.2 from scratch?
This was an error that occurred in earlier releases, but does not occur
with egcs-1.1.2.

I am using IBM's c compiler
I tried again after deleting everything and got the folllowing 
error message

        cc -c -DLOCALEDIR=\"/usr/local/share/locale\"

	Are you using AIX Make or GNU Make?  The indented "cc ..." looks
like AIX Make.  AIX Make has problems compiling GCC, although I have not
seen this particular failure mode before.  That is the next thing I would
try. 

	Is the internationalization library suppose to be compiled by the
native compiler at all?

compiler.
It did not give any error message but when I try to compile
some program using gcc. It gives me the folloing error:

# gcc a.c
gcc: installation problem, cannot exec `cpp': No such file or
directory

Can you please tell me what I need to know more???

	The problem is exactly what the error says, but I do not know what
is causing it.  Somehow the cpp executable did not get installed in the
GCC installation directory or it has incorrect permissions.  The
installation directory depends on the --prefix you specified when you
configured EGCS.  Did you change this when you were rebuilding EGCS so
that the Makefile installation target and directories builtin to "gcc" do
not match?
