I have a question about installing egcs on my linux system. I downloaded egcs-g++1.1.1.tar from the website and I'd like to install in on a ix86 running RH release 5.1. I have read the instructions on the web site - but don't understand how to configure and install the package. How can I run the configure.in file?, for example.

Any descriptions of the process that you can offer would be a tremendous help.
