Here are my computer specs: Intel Celeron (Mendocino) Processor Mandrake Linux release 8.1 (direct install, not upgrade) I send my thanks to everyone who works on gcc! Mike ps. I'ved used 3.0.2 to compile MPlayer, so it seems to be work great! ps2. I can't figure out what version of glibc I have (obviously I'm still learning about Linux). ps3. This Mandrake release says it's for an i586, but the kernel says it's "2.4.8-26mdk on an i686", so I'm not sure which x86 I have... I know for sure it's a Celeron, though. -- Michael D.
