The ftp://egcs.cygnus.com/pub/egcs/infrastructure/gperf-2.7-19981006.pat
patch modifies gperf, but doesnt change the documentation as to what the
changes do (apparently it adds a new command-line option, at least). Is there
any documentation for what this new patch does (preferably in the form of
patches to the gperf man and info pages)?

Does this patch change the default behaviour of gperf 2.7 in any way (i.e.,
are all the changes hidden behind the new option?) I've proposed that FreeBSD
upgrade to gperf 2.7 with this patch, but obviously the above two conditions
should be met first.

Can anyone help out with this?

Thanks!

Kris
