Both, the website says: Necessary to build GCC with the Graphite loop optimizations. Witness the "with the Graphite loop optimizations" part of that sentence. So if you want the graphite loop optimizers you need PPL and CLooG, otherwise you don't need them to compile GCC. -- Pinski
