I'm using a Red Hat Linux 5.0/Intel system with the latests updates and with
binutils-2.9.0.3.
I just tried to rebuild the ddd-2.2.3-1.src.rpm and failed with
/usr/src/redhat/BUILD/ddd-2.2.3/ddd/value-read.C, please see the attached
gzipped file.
Make fails with
c++ -DHAVE_CONFIG_H -DNDEBUG -O2 -W -Wall -Wno-uninitialized -march=pentium -funroll-loops -funroll-all-loops -fexternal-templates -felide-constructors -fconserve-space -c -I. -I. -I./.. -I/usr/X11R6/include -o value-read.o value-read.C
/tmp/cca30894.s: Assembler messages:
/tmp/cca30894.s:574: Fatal error: Symbol .LEHB5637 already defined.
Any hints? Could this be a problem with binutils-2.9.0.3?
TIA,

It sounds like a compiler bug.

It is useless since not everyone has those header files
needed to compile it.
