I'm having to build an older release of egcs for an unfortunate reason
but I'm not having any luck now that I'm using the latest snapshot. I
haven't tried to do this since I upgraded from 1.0.3a a long time back
so I don't know if other snapshots or releases will have the same
problem or not. I'm running on intel linux 2.2.9 kernel. The error
messages I get are "invalid exception specifications" from libio.h and
libioP.h when compiling libio/builtinbuf.cc quite a ways into the
"make bootstrap". Is this kind of thing expected? If so which version
of egcs do I need to fall back to in order to build 1.0.3a?

	thanx & later,

That a problem of interaction between glibc 2.1.x and egcs 1.0.3.
Check gcc-2.95 for patches (I think from myself) for this problem.
