Hello,
First of all, a big thank you to everyone who helped make the GDB 8.2
release possible. It was not an easy one, and we did it!
Now that the first release out of the 8.2 branch is officially out,
it is time to start thinking about the next release branch, which
for now we'll call 8.3.
Looking at the NEWS file, I see that we've already been quite active,
so I don't see any reason to deviate from the usual 2 releases a year.
As such, I propose the following dates:
- Mid Jan 2019: Branch
- End of Jan 2019: Release GDB 8.3
- 3 months later: Release GDB 8.3.1
I everyone agrees, I will probably start prepping for it and send
reminders to everyone early December.
