I don't mind if you want to push some prompt stuff into the core, but I think it would be better if done in a way that was compatible with the Python prompt substitution code -- command-wise, substitution-style-wise, and whatever else. That code hasn't seen a release yet, so it can be changed if need be. (Though time is running out.) Tom
