      This old bug report should not apply anymore
    to recent GDB that should be able to correctly 
    represent strings, for both GNU pascal compiler
    and Free Pascal.
      Could you test with a recent gpc compiler
    and GDB 6.6 and report if bug is still present
    or fixed?
