When debugging an executable created by GHC (http://www.haskell.org/ghc) using
"target record", I encountered:
0x00000000005ef34a in stg_gc_gen ()
1: x/i $pc
0x5ef34a <stg_gc_gen+18>: movsd %xmm6,0x88(%rbp)
(gdb)
Process record doesn't support instruction 0xf11 at address 0x5ef34b.
Process record: failed to record execution log.
Program received signal SIGABRT, Aborted.

Currently record-replay does not support MMX and other CPU extensions.
Couldn't you configure your compilter to avoid using them? (probably not, they
are always present on x86_64)
It may be also considered a duplicate of Bug 10743.

We always use SSE for floating-point on x86-64. Doesn't gcc do the same?

I've seen something similar:
"Process record doesn't support instruction 0xfef at address 0xb6e9c778."
It was followed immediately by:
stopped,reason="signal-received",signal-name="0",signal-meaning="Signal
0",frame=s{addr="0xb6e9c777",func="__strlen_sse2",args=[],file="../sysdeps/i386/i686/multiarch/strlen.S",line="75"},thread-id="1",stopped-threads="all",core="1"

Hi,
Could you help me try the issue with gdb-cvs-head?
I think it is fixed in head.
Thanks,
Hui
