Subject: RE: Cannot work with gdb
Hi!
Thanks for your e-mail. I followed all your instructions and created a
certificate called gdb-cert (it appears on the certificates list).
However, when I tried to do the last step:
codesign -s gdb-cert gdb
I got an error message: Cannot find code object on disk. I tried giving
the full path for the gdb binary and still got the same message. Hope
you can help me get past this.
Many thanks,
Carmen

Subject: RE: Cannot work with gdb
New input. I got the gdb certificate to "take" by changing the last
line of your instructions as follows:
The gdb binary deck is in directory ~/Download/gdb-7.0.1/gdb
Positioned myself in my root directory.
Entered: sudo codesign -s gdb-cert Download/gdb-7.0.1/gdb/gdb
So many thanks for your help. When I compile my fortran code (using
gfortran) to use gbd do I need to use flags other than -c and -g?
Carmen

I need to work with gdb on the mac, but after I installed it and tried to use
it I get a whole bunch of error messages such as:
warning: `/Users/gkhanna/build/i386-apple-darwin9.5.0/libgcc/trunctfxf2_s.o':
can't open to read symbols: No such file or directory.
I followed all the installation instructions......
Many thanks.

warning: `/Users/gkhanna/build/i386-apple-darwin9.5.0/libgcc/trunctfxf2_s.o':
can't open to read symbols: No such file or directory.
This is not a gdb installation problem.
That file does not come from gdb, it comes from gcc.
There is a gdb problem here; afaik it is fixed in cvs.
Could you try cvs head, or a (very) recent snapshot?
Thanks.
