We're going to need a bit more information... Can you provide a test case to
demonstrate this? What is the output of gdb --version (or "show version" at the
prompt)?
I have tried a simple executable on my mingw system, but I cannot reproduce
this (using CVS HEAD).

Dear Keith Seitz,
actually the makefile
was using the -ggdb flag instead of the -g flag,
as soon as I replaced -ggdb by -g everything worked fine.
Even though,
I do not know why gdb crashed and asked for bug report.
If you need it,
I should be able to reproduce the crash on my machine and send you
more data.
In case you are stil interested in it,
here is the output of gdb --version.
